PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
PPHC 027 Caustic soda is a substance used for sweetening hydrocarbon products in oil refinery, gas and petrochemical units. The caustic soda-generated salts are increasingly formed during the process of removing impurities like mercaptans, sulfides and nitrates, which eventually leave process system through spent caustic discharge.
PPHC 027 Caustic soda is used in some cement mix plasticizers. This helps homogenize cement mixes, preventing segregation of sands and cement, decreases the amount of water required in a mix and increases workability of the cement product, be it mortar, render or concrete.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- Widely available and an economic source of hydroxyl ions to control pH.
